Vedanta Study Circle and Ramakrishna Ashrama, Detroit, Michigan
Kali Puja was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at our Ramakrishna Ashram. The idol of Goddess Kali was beautifully adorned with fresh flowers. Devotees lit decorative diyas in front of the idol, illuminating the surroundings with a warm, gentle glow. The vibrant flowers and glowing lights together created a serene, sacred, and festive atmosphere. Devotees and families gathered to offer prayers to the Divine Mother Kali. The celebration included traditional puja rituals, chanting of mantras from Sri Sri Chandi, devotional songs, and prayers. The spiritual atmosphere brought everyone together in a spirit of faith and devotion. The celebration also provided an opportunity for the local community to preserve its cultural and spiritual heritage and pass these values on to younger generations. Prasad was distributed among devotees at the end of the programme. The occasion was a beautiful blend of spirituality, culture, and community fellowship, reflecting the ideals of devotion, harmony, and universal brotherhood. More than 250 devotees attended the Kali Puja celebration.
