2024 Swamiji's Birthday Celebration- A Report
The Ramakrishna Ashrama in Warren, MI, celebrated Swamiji's Birthday on Sunday, February 4th, 2024. A special puja of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa, the Holy Mother Saradamani Devi, and Swami Vivekananda, with food offerings and "aarti", was performed. The local devotees sang bhajans, some of which were dedicated to Swamiji, and read from the books of the Holy Trio, Sri Sri Ramakrishna Kathamrita, Sri Sri Mayer Katha and Yuvanayak Vivekananda. Highlights of Swamiji's extraordinary life and some of memorable incidents of his life were also discussed. The devotees engaged themselves in meditation and japa for a few minutes. At the end of the puja, devotees offered Pushpanjali (flower offering) and had prasadam for lunch. About 50 to 60 local devotees attended this special occassion.
