Special Satsang on July 28th, 2024 - A Report
The Ramakrishna Ashrama at Warren, MI had organized a special Satsang evening with Rev. Swami Ishatmananda, President of Vedanta Society of Chicago, IL, Rev. Swami Ishadhyanananda of Vedanta Society of Sacramento, CA & Rev. Swami Shivarchanananda of Vedanta Society of St. Louis, MO on Sunday, July 28th, 2024. The local devotees gathered at the Ashram had a wonderful opportunity to hear the discourses of the Swamis. Swami Ishatmananda gave the welcome speech and introduced the two young swamijis to the devotees. Swami Ishadhyanananda spoke on how the Hindu Dharma and the scriptures like the Vedas evolved over the years. Swami Shivarchanananda continued the discussion on the same topic focusing on how Thakur Sri Ramakrishna simplified the essence of the Vedas for the common householders to make it easy for everyone to follow and practice it. Swami Ishatmananda made the concluding remarks stressing the importance of being in constant communication with God and befriending Him by having child-like faith in Him. Interspersed between these speeches were a few devotional songs by the local devotees. All devotees were served Bhog Prasad at the end of the discourses.
