The devotees of Thakur Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa in the Detroit area celebrated his birthday with great enthusiam on Sunday May 28th, 2023. The celebration was extra special as Rev. Swami Ishatmananda, President of Vedanta Society of Chicago and Rev. Swami Kripamayananda, Head of Vedanta Society of Toronto graced the occasion by their holy presence. The devotees welcomed both the Swamijis with ululation, blowing conches and showering flower petals on their feet. The Swamijis offered their regards to the Holy Trio and shared some very interesting stories of Thakur's Divine grace as witnessed by some of his disciples.




A special puja was performed. The devotees sang devotional songs paying tribute to Thakur. About 200 people were in attendence. All attendees were treated to a delicious dinner of Bhog Prasad.
